Fieldwork changed
how I build products.
I grew up in a village in Kazakhstan. At CSI, returning to villages and small towns helped me understand why a national reporting process needed a regional pilot.
I was born in a village in Kazakhstan and grew up on a farm. Years later, fieldwork at CSI took me back to villages and small towns, this time to understand how infrastructure decisions were made.
Internet access, digital literacy and local administrative capacity varied widely. That changed how I approached the product: map the full submission process, pilot in one region, and use feedback and completion data to improve validation, reminders and progress visibility before scaling.
After CSI, I moved into graduate study and a product practicum in San Francisco. At the UC Law Center for Innovation, I applied the same approach to regulatory data: make the evidence inspectable and give unresolved cases a clear human review path. I now work on carrier operations at NocTeam.
I’m an M.S. in Business Analytics candidate at UC Davis, with graduation expected in December 2026. My product experience begins in June 2021; today I focus on data, AI and enterprise workflows where a wrong decision has a real cost.
